The first thing I notice there is a big difference in service at Cable dealerships. Had a oil change schedule for 9 AM on Saturday. A hour and a half later they finished with it. To compare with another dealership you are in and out in 45 minuets. Asked why it took so long, said they were real busy. Watched from outside and the service was working on other jobs and shooting the breeze with other service tech. If you have a oil change schedule that should be the main object of that tech. not other jobs. I feel my time is just as important as anyone else. So that is the reason for the review.

i was told that purchasing a new Yukon that all my oil changes would be covered/free for so long. So far i have had to pay over $100 every time i've had an oil change. I was also told that my with less than 15,000 miles that my yukon required a front end alignment which would cost me over $400. I'm sorry but i feel that you are trying to swindle money from me to pay all these extras that are not covered. At this time i feel your dealership is just trying to scam me out of my hard earned money. Your dealership last lost my trust that you are being true to me as a customer.

I bought my car from cable dahmer Buick gmc in independence, mo around 3 weeks ago. I was overall happy with my purchasing experience until two days after my purchase date. My car started to have issues with the temperature gauge as it wouldn’t work. That problem went away after a day or two so I thought nothing of it till it occurred again, this time with a check engine light. I decided to bring the car in this time as I had a 3 month, 3000 mile powertrain warranty on it and it had only been 2 weeks, 1000 miles. I was told it was the thermostat that was causing the issue which I had already concluded through my own experience with cars. I was then informed I would be paying for it, as it wasn’t covered under warranty. They did inform me that I would only be paying for half which while it sounded better, it was still ridiculous as I had just bought the car. I mentioned how I had just bought the car and I feel like the issue was more than likely already known and I got hung up on. My dad then tried contacting the sales, service, and finance department several times through phone calls and never got through to anybody nor did he get a phone call back even days later. Finally, I needed my car back as it had been around 3 days since I first brought it in. The cost was around $600 and no where in my invoice did it show I was only paying half and through research of other costs, I can infer I more than likely paid full price. Overall, my experience with cable dahmer has been horrible and it’s given me the experience that’s expected of a buy here pay here lot in movies. My salesman Martin was great to work with personally and was the only person me or my dad could either respectively talk to without getting hung up on or even get a hold of. Jaren was horrific to work with as he was the person who had hung up on me and gave me a false promise on the price of the repair. Steven in finance was not enjoyable too as he always had a condescending tone and talked to me like I was a child. I had a positive light on cable dahmer as a whole up until this all occurred and now me as well as my family will not even think about any cable dahmer dealership when buying a car or looking to get our cars service.

I am kind of disappointed in having to return the car for final service before delivery. Front license bracket and the Highway package should have been done prior to me driving off the lot. I have never spent so much time trying to buy a car. Your process is way too long and you wasted an hour of our time with everyone butting into Jose's bussiness and not letting him do his job. When I say I am not interested and where I want to be at for us to buy that is what I mean and Jose is the only reason we stayed to even test drive, much less any other part of the deal. Jose is great and is 5 stars, but everyone stepping in and making the process painfully and long were not appreciated. They were nice people, but they were not our sales person. We were also not fond of holding our keys to our current vehicle hostage until we made it well know how we felt about it. Even if we left for the day, we would have come back to Jose to buy. 1130 am to 730 pm is too long with out being allowed to leave and eat.

My car went in for an oil change and some maintenance to make sure everything was fine before my trip. I asked that they be extra careful with my car and one of the workers backed my car into another car. How that happened I don’t know because my car starts yelling if you are to close to anything. And the fact that the person trying to blame the steering wheel cover is crazy to me. The facts is that that person was not paying attention. But after the whole incident they did get me taken care of they got me a rental vehicle until they got the parts that they need to make it where I could still go in my trip and helped me out by cleaning the car for me and brought it to me so I could leave on time for my trip. And they are going to fix the rest of the damage when I come back from my trip. I can definitely say in that they take care of their customers if something happens.

A nice lady picked up my car and a nice man brought it back to me. My only complaints are that someone tried to sell me a "$99 deal to get the sludge out of my engine." It's a nearly new car! Also, Cable Dahmer needs to get their records correct. General Motors gave us free oil changes, tire rotations, etc. for 3 years due to the fact that my car had a faulty fuel line and the car stalled in the middle of driving. They kept it an entire month, returned it filthy and it was not determined at the time what the issue was. Apparently other customers also had this problem. It was dangerous as it even shut off on the freeway.

It took almost 2 hours to get an oil change, with an appointment. I can go to any oil change shop without an appointment and get my oil changed in 30 minutes. I have been in six times, to get my oil changed, and each time there has been a greasy handprint left on the inside of the car, above the window on the driver's side. They need to either wash their hands or wear gloves before entering the vehicles. This is all totally unacceptable!

I brought my truck in for an emissions problem. I signed papers when I got there saying that of the issues weren't covered by warrenty there would be a $100 per issue diagnostic. After 3 days of it sitting there i was told that nothing was covered by warrenty and it was now $300 to pick my truck up. On top of that i was told it needed a forced regen for the emissions system to correct the problem. I decided to bring it home to fix this issues myself. After getting it home and opening the hood I found that the air box for the filter was not attached and the sensor right past it not connected. I also checked the map sensor and found that to be the whole issue and you all never check it. When I replaced the map sensor everything worked as it should. Horrible experience and I would expect more from a dealership that big.

As a traveler, I am not a regular in this area. I was welcomed and felt comfortably at home. As a "walk in" I was glad to be seen. I got the rest of my 90K service completed and could not quite get to the trailer braking system errors, but we were leaving the area the following morning. If I could make it the following Monday they could follow on with the errors. If I lived around here, I would visit this GMC dealer/Service center regularly.

My experience at the dealership and with Nick was great. When I called to schedule my appointment; my experience with the customer service agent was underwhelming. She was not personable and she came off as “Having an attitude.” When I told her my reason for scheduling she looked my VIN up and told me that the issue with my car was not covered under recall; despite me telling her that I received a letter in the mail about the issue. I proceeded to schedule an appt with another sells associate; thankful I did because when I dropped my vehicle off, Nick informed me that as long as the inspection indicated, the service was covered due to the recall.

I brought my 2019 Chevy Silverado in with transmission issues. I bought the truck from the Independence dealership in Nov. of 2023. It was still under the 5 year 100,000 warrenty. Chris was great to work with. The only complaint I have for the whole process is being charged a "doc fee." I shouldn't have to pay an extra fee for your people to do thier job. Not a great customer service practice to charge and pass down these bogus fees, especially to peeole who have bought their vehicles from you.

Jose was great! He was very helpful and worked very hard to accommodate every think I asked for. He was very knowledgeable and answered every question I had. He spent most of the day with me picking out different cars and finding the perfect one. The sales manager (I can’t remember his name, but he did have a lot of tattoos and one on this neck) though was not the most pleasant to deal with. He was very pushy towards a car I wasn’t very interested in and had a lot of excuses for the car that I actually wanted to see. He also told me the car was “out of my budget” and that I “actually needed to read” when talking about the rebates that were on the Buick I wanted to see, even though I qualified for all of them. Also, he never once said congrats or anything along those lines once I did buy the car I wanted even though he passed by me multiple times. That part wasn’t a huge deal but just seems like something a sales manager would do. I even walked into the wrong room on accident at one point following Jose and all he said was “did you need something?”. If I only had to talk to/deal with Jose that day I would have been completely fine, but the sales manager made the day a little less enjoyable.

I was at the dealership for an oil change and to repair my driver’s side rear tire. The service tech also recommended a brake fluid flush and a crankcase cleaning, which I approved. However, I noticed I was charged for the tire repair even though I purchased my tires from your dealership with road hazard coverage. I believe that repair should have been covered under the warranty, so I’d appreciate a refund for that charge.

I recently had some warranty work done on my vehicle, along with minor repairs for a few dents that were present when I purchased it. During the repair period, I was informed that I needed to pay for two days of loaner car use since I had it for more than five days. Unfortunately, I don’t have control over how long the repair process takes. When I lived in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, I purchased five vehicles from McGrath GMC and never had to pay for a loaner vehicle while warranty or repair work was being completed. I’m very pleased with the quality of the work—my truck runs great, the dents are gone, and it looks fantastic—but I’m disappointed that I was charged for a loaner car when the length of the repair wasn’t within my control.

I say this even though the chronic issue of failures of the "Easy Exit" seat feature was not fixed. I blame GM's corporate policies for the dealership's inability to correct this on-going problem.

We had out Buick picked up from my wife's work early in the morning. The porters did an excellent job transporting the vehicle to and from the dealership. Unfortunately, the Service Department was in no rush to change the Oil and Rotate the Tires until late in the day. My wife's shift at work ended before the car was returned. She had to hitch a ride home with a friend. My wife was highly inconvenienced by the slow service. She called the Service Manager to see what caused the hold up. No answer. She left a message. It has been three days and still no call back. We had much higher expectations for this dealership. Now we are starting to question our loyalty. Please do a better job of communicating with your customers. Ghosting them is not professional. Strongly considering cancelling my service plan and taking my business elsewhere.

It only took an hour to complete and I was on my way. Jerry was very helpful with the information I asked for, and made me feel very welcome there. You did a great job getting my car fixed. I was really disappointed that at a year and a half old, the car was suffering with a coolant leak, and needed a hose replaced. I was even more disappointed that there wasn't a replacement part available for a month. I have owned a car since 1971, and of all the cars I have owned, I have never had this issue. This is what I was thinking every time I went to the garage and saw my car sitting there.

I want to say that I appreciate Montana diamond from start to finish. He was standing with me on every issue that I had with my 2019 GMC terrain. He informed me of everything that was going on. He let me know where he was standing with warranty company. He would call them and deal with them on every issue he fought to give me a great price one that I could afford that I wouldn’t have to pay so much out-of-pocket he dealt with the warranty company and informed them that me being the customer they have an obligation towards me. I appreciate all that Montana diamond did I will recommend him to each and every person that needs work done on their GMC car. I wrote a $74k check to purchase a 2026 GMC Acadia Denali Ultimate. The experience at the dealership was okay but didn't appreciate the continuous hard sell on financing when I already accepted the dealerships price and told them I was paying cash. Then, I was told I couldn't drive it home because they had to install a type of package. I was told it would be ready Tuesday or Wednesday. I received a text from the salesman at 4:54pm on Tuesday telling me the car will be ready at 11:00am the next day. I responded and told him I'll be there midday to pick up. I had a coworker drop me off at noon only to find out the car wasn't ready and it would be a few more hours. I arranged my entire client schedule around this pickup and was left in a very difficult position. Then, the Sales Manager came out and told me that it would be at least another day because there was a broken module that needed repair. So, as I write this on Thursday morning, I have a loner vehicle from the dealership and no idea when I'll receive my new Acadia. The joy and excitement of buying a new car has been ruined. I felt like as soon as I declined financing options and declined all the other add-ons pitched to me by the Finance Manager, I wasn't important. I was ready to purchase the car within 20 minutes of walking in the door but didn't leave until 4 hours later. Do better! -- Pat Miller

We had an appointment on Saturday, December 20 for 11 o’clock. We arrived at at 10:30. We got there a little early. They said they were running behind and we went in for an oil change regular routine on the truck and we left it 1 o’clock why it takes so long I have no idea but they said that they were behind if we make an appointment for 11 it shouldn’t take two hours to do an oil change and routine check on the truck. My wife and I was a little disappointed on how long it took for them to service a truck I know they go through quite a few checklist on it to make sure everything was working properly and checked out OK but I wish it would take so long to do it. They were polite about the time it took and was sorry it took so long, but I don’t think that we should have to wait two hours. We had places that we needed to be so that set us behind. This review is specific to the dealership and not reflective of my salesperson. The mandatory add-on for EXCEL/Nitrogen @ $890 is overpriced, especially since nitrogen in tires is pseudo-science offering dubious benefits and is free at Costco, and door guards are inexpensive online. Instead of marking up unnecessary extras, include them in the car price or be flexible for customers who don’t want them, as this is insulting to your customers. Furthermore, my truck’s tires were underinflated despite the nitrogen fill (32 PSI at delivery, door plate recommends 36 PSI). I remedied this by inflating to proper pressure with FREE NITROGEN AT COSTCO! Such practices are misleading, risk alienating informed buyers, and discourage positive reviews or repeat business.
